Supertall 520 Fifth Signs First Office Tenants

Locally based real estate investment and development firm Rabina has secured the first office occupancies at 520 Fifth Ave., reportedly the tallest mixed-use building on Fifth Avenue. With occupancy slated for this fall, the 1,002-foot-tall tower has signed three office leases totaling approximately 29,000 square feet, with multiple additional leases pending.

Private equity firm Ancient will occupy 8,682 square feet in a relocation brokered by CBRE vice chairman Ben Friedland and SVP Hugh McDonald. Global investment firm JAB Holding Company, whose portfolio includes Krispy Kreme, will relocate to 11,634 square feet, represented by JLL vice chairman Matthew Astrachan, SVP Seth Godnick and associate Stefanie Rock.

The third tenant is a biotechnology hedge fund that will relocate its New York City headquarters to 6,800 square feet at 520 Fifth. The lease was brokered by JLL SVP Jason Roberts.

The leasing team for 520 Fifth includes JLL vice chairmen Benjamin Bass, Paul Glickman, and Frank Doyle; executive managing director Clark Finney; and SVPs Harrison Potter and Robin Olinyk.
