Sunrise Adds The Warwick to San Diego Portfolio

Following the recent $37M acquisition by Spectrum Partners of The Warwick luxury multifamily community, San Diego-based Sunrise Management has been designated as the property manager. Previously the Sommerset Suites Hotel, the 80-unit apartment community on Washington Street is distinguished by the turquoise stripe on the building.

“We are proud to oversee day-to-day management of this longtime San Diego community, an appealing and upscale example of the growing trend toward apartment conversions,” said Sunrise Management COO Theresa Cordero. “The community also fills an important and growing need for highly amenitized, centrally located urban living.”

Some of those amenities include a resort-style pool, a sun deck with cabanas, a high-end fitness center, technology-enabled package lockers, a dog run and an outdoor social lounge. Originally constructed in 1986 as apartments, the property was then converted into a hotel, and is now an apartment complex once again.
