Summit Bank Acquires Redmond Building as Future Branch

Summit Bank, a Eugene, OR-based independent community bank serving professionals and businesses, has acquired a new building in Redmond, OR. Located on SW Highland Avenue in a high-traffic area, the facility will add to the company’s growing business banking market across the region. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Situated 17 miles north of Bend, OR in the central part of the state, Redmond has become a hub for business due to its location at the intersection of major highways, a growing airport and a business-friendly environment. The building, which offers ample parking, will undergo renovation with a modern, state-of-the-art design fitting downtown Redmond.

“We are thrilled to announce the acquisition of this building,” said Summit Bank CEO Craig Wanichek. “This is an important step in our growth strategy, and we are confident that this new location will help us better serve our clients in the area.”

The new branch is expected to open Fall 2023, joining the other three Summit locations in Oregon: Bend, Eugene and Portland.
