Sullivan & Worcester Inks 42K SF in Midtown
Law firm Sullivan & Worcester is set to relocate its New York City offices to a smaller space at Mitsui Fudosan America’s 1251 Avenue of the Americas in Midtown. The Israel-based firm signed a sublease for 41,900 square feet in the tower, citing recent growth in its headcount to 52 attorneys and 18 staff members.
The move follows a sublease agreement with Lowenstein Sandler, which expanded its space in the building to 125,000 square feet in September 2021. Sullivan & Worcester’s new space will feature 63 offices, about a dozen more than its current location, despite the smaller footprint.
Jason Gorman, John Nugent, David Fitzgerald and Marlee Teplitsky of CBRE negotiated on behalf of the tenant, while Michael Goldman of Cresa represented Lowenstein Sandler.
“Given our growth trajectory, we believe the office space and new location make strategic sense for the firm and for our clients,” David Danovitch, said managing partner of Sullivan & Worcester’s New York office.
