Suffolk, Wounded Warrior Project to Expand Home Base National Center of Excellence

Suffolk, in collaboration with the Wounded Warrior Project and Home Base, has initiated the expansion of the Home Base National Center of Excellence. This expansion aims to cater specifically to special operators and veterans affected by Traumatic Brain and Polytrauma Injuries incurred during wartime and training.

It will bolster the clinical capacity of Home Base, offering evaluations and treatments for traumatic brain injuries, musculoskeletal injuries, and mental health conditions among veterans and service members from the special operations community. The expanded facility will enhance clinical care and allocate space for innovative research, including investigations into psychedelic treatments’ efficacy.

Suffolk has contributed $1.5 million in services and materials to this project. Wounded Warrior Project, a supporter of Home Base through Warrior Care Network, has committed over $90 million, with an additional $5.5 million for the Home Base expansion. This support includes establishing the Wounded Warrior Project Brain Health and Special Operations Performance Clinic.
