Sublime Systems Expands HQ in Somerville

Rafi Properties, the owner and operator of Somernova, an innovation campus in Somerville, MA., announced that Sublime Systems will expand its headquarters on the campus. Sublime, a developer of a fossil-fuel-free, scalable, drop-in replacement for traditional cement in concrete, will add more than 23,000 square feet of space for their pilot facility and R&D lab, in addition to the 6,500 square feet they currently occupy.

Form Energy, a tech firm creating multi-day energy storage systems for a fully renewable electric grid year-round, recently renewed their 55,000-square foot lease at Somernova for another four years. Sublime’s expansion, along with the growth of Form Energy, has created nearly 400 new jobs on the Somernova campus.

“Collaborating with Somernova has enabled us to seamlessly scale in our own neighborhood and maintain our access to the high-quality talent coming out of the universities surrounding Somerville,” said Leah Ellis, Co-Founder and CEO of Sublime.

Connect Industrial Midwest 2024 will take place on March 5, 2024, at Joe’s Live in Rosemont, Illinois. Click here for more information and to register.
