Sub-Zero Opens 2nd Major Plant in Goodyear
Sub-Zero recently delivered another manufacturing plant in Goodyear. The 600,000-square-foot plant, which opened recently, cost $118 million to build. ViaWest Group developed the site, and Willmeng built it. The 36-acre property is located at Camelback Road and Cotton Lane in Goodyear.
The Phoenix Business Journal reports the project is the second location Sub-Zero has opened in Goodyear after its initial expansion to the West Valley city in 2011 as one of the first manufacturers at the PV 303 industrial corridor, which is now home to dozens of employers. Subsequently, in 2015, it added 240,000 square feet of additional space to its Goodyear factory.
The 600,000-square-foot expansion at Sub-Zero’s second Goodyear location is set to create at least 143 new jobs with average annual wages of $52,000 over five years. Sub-Zero has invested at least $220 million in the two West Valley locations.
Sub-Zero Group, based in Madison, Wisconsin, manufactures and sells luxury kitchen appliances and Wolf and Cove products.
