Construction Underway on The Ruckus 2.0

Bolstered by its success of The Ruckus student housing complex at 2502 Nueces St. in Austin, developer Lincoln Ventures has launched construction on The Ruckus 2.0. Construction started on the 67-unit, 239-bed project at 2401 Rio Grande St., and is scheduled to be completed by the fall 2019 semester at the University of Texas.

Units at The Ruckus 2.0 will be fully furnished, and come with cable, high-speed internet, a washer and dryer. Common areas will include a cyber café, study lounges, a package concierge, secured access and a “sky gym” and terrace.

The site of the new complex once held a small strip center. “After receiving such positive feedback on the original Ruckus, we were excited when the site at 24th and Rio Grande became available. We knew this was the right location for our next project,” Lincoln Ventures’ David Kanne told the Austin American-Statesman.
