Stratus Divests Student Housing Near U. of Georgia Campus
Stratus Development Group sold The Haven of Athens, a 286-bedroom community in Athens, GA, near the University of Georgia, for an undisclosed sum. Travis Prince, Shawn Lubic and Victoria Marks of Cushman & Wakefield’s Student Housing Capital Markets Group, along with Cushman & Wakefield’s Sunbelt Advisory Group, represented Stratus.
“This newly constructed, cottage-style community is situated in a highly desirable location, offering residents unique flexible floorplans and includes premier and modern amenities and state-of-the-art smart home features,” Prince said. “The property completed construction in Fall 2020 and delivered at 100% occupancy and has since achieved 100% prelease for Fall 2021.”
Located at 135 Kentucky Cir., the property sits less than a mile from the University of Georgia campus. Amenities include a resort-style pool, grill and fire pit, bark park, fitness center, clubhouse and study rooms. The property includes 93 two-, three- and four-bedroom cottages.
