StorageMart Acquires New Store in the San Antonio Area

StorageMart, a family-operated business based in MO, has further expanded its San Antonio presence with the acquisition of a former Life Storage facility. With this addition, StorageMart’s company portfolio expands to 99,833 total net rentable square feet, including 877 storage units.

The new location will receive an updated security system, including video surveillance and electronic gate, and will transition to operate under StorageMart management and branding in the coming weeks.

StorageMart continues to grow its real estate portfolio with new acquisitions, which currently include locations in Manhattan, Maryland, Indiana, and Iowa. StorageMart has four stores in San Antonio prior to this acquisition with more to come in the future.

Erik Hamilton, who has more than 15 years in CRE journalism, is a former staff writer with the Los Angeles Times and the Orange County Business Journal. In addition to The Times and the OCBJ, he was also a reporter and editor for Crittenden Research, The San Bernardino Sun and UPI. Erik also worked six years in CRE public relations with Los Angeles-based Hoyt Organization, where he was a Senior Account Executive.
