Stonelake Defies Headwinds, Planning Highrise Office in Dallas
Even though office vacancy rates are hovering around 50% in a number of metro areas, some office projects are still moving forward. In Dallas, developers are rushing to bring new high-rises onto the market.
Stonelake Capital Partners is jumping in with plans to build a 17-story, 180,000-square-foot office tower on McKinney Avenue. The building, to be known as 2626 McKinney, would open in mid-2025 on a site across from Whole Foods Market. The property is now occupied by a low-rise office.
“Located adjacent to Whole Foods and within easy walking distance of The Crescent and Ritz-Carlton, 2626 McKinney offers the full spectrum of offerings for tenants who want to live in the urban core of one of the most dynamic markets in the country, Dallas.” Stonelake’s Coleman Brown said .
The glass-clad high-rise features an 11th-floor comfort level with a tenant lounge, meeting and event space, a fitness center, and a landscaped patio overlooking the Dallas skyline. The penthouse suite will feature a 2,300 square foot private terrace.
