Stellar Management’s Larry Gluck Dies At 71
Larry Gluck, co-founder of Stellar Management, one of NYC’s largest commercial real estate owners, has passed away at 71 after battling ALS. Gluck co-founded the firm nearly four decades ago with Steve Witkoff.
Stellar Management owns over 1million SF of retail, 12,000 apartments, and 2 million SF of office space across 100 buildings, with 1 million SF in development. Gluck’s notable achievements include securing a $714 million loan to refinance Yorkshire and Lexington Towers and the $1.4 billion sale of Parkmerced in San Francisco.
Gluck’s wife, Sandra, and daughter, Amanda, now oversee the firm’s operations, supported by an executive team. Gluck’s career began in real estate law, and his first acquisition was 540 Henry St. in Brooklyn. Despite facing controversies over rent-stabilized units, his influence on NYC real estate remains substantial.
