SteelCraft Plans Second SoCal Container Urban Eatery
Long Beach-based Howard CDM and development partner SteelCraft plans to bring SteelCraft to Garden Grove, CA. The city unanimously approved the urban eatery concept paving the way for the second SoCal location.
SteelCraft Long Beach opened in February 2017, and has quickly found its place as a popular gathering spot. The 15,000-square-foot outdoor culinary venue is built from repurposed shipping containers that house eight vendors offering a range of craft foods and drinks.
SteelCraft founder, Kim Gros says, “It’s truly authentic. People know when they come to SteelCraft, they are getting the best coffee sourced from across the globe, the best beer and the best food. We bring something fresh and new, while preserving the local element.”
The more than 30,000-square-foot project will be built on a vacant 1.9-acre lot in downtown Garden Grove, and is expected to open in 12 to 18 months.
