Starbucks is shutting its 23 La Boulange bakery units, which are mainly found in the San Francisco area. The coffee giant bought the outfit in 2012 for $100 million.

Though La Boulange’s items will still be sold in Starbucks’ units throughout North America, running freestanding stores of the concept was not considered worth it. Seattle-based Starbucks is also closing two distribution plants that supplied the stores with items.
