Stanley’s Produce Store Site Goes to Auction

Paine Wetzel Commercial Real Estate and MWA Capital Advisors are set to sell the former Stanley’s Fresh Fruit and Vegetables property on Chicago’s North Side at public auction. It’s set for Tuesday, Nov. 19.

Ed Wabick, principal of Paine Wetzel, and Ken Nofziger, president of MWA, are spearheading the auction marketing effort.

“It is hard to put a price on a unique offering such as this,” said Nofziger. “The property has a wide range of potential future uses and could be redeveloped into retail, apartments, offices, medical or a multitude of other options.”

The property is being offered in three separate tracts or in any combination of tracts, including the entirety of the properties. When combined, the properties total nearly 76,000 square feet.

The Panagiotaros family hired Paine Wetzel and MWA in July to market the Stanley’s property, after serving several North Side neighborhoods for decades.
