Stantec Hires Melsie Ordoñez as Principal in Miami
Global integrated design firm Stantec has hired Melsie Ordoñez as buildings engineering principal in its Miami office. In this role, Ordoñez will oversee and support engineering for hospitality, institutional, and aviation projects, while developing the local healthcare, lab-research facility and ports-marine markets.
Ordoñez brings 21 years of experience in managing and designing mechanical systems for the healthcare, higher education and transportation markets internationally and throughout the southeastern United States. Her expertise includes project management, HVAC building, utility and LEED Certification design as well as construction administration and commissioning.
Prior to joining Stantec, Ordoñez was a senior mechanical engineer and director of operations at an international consulting engineering firm in Miami, overseeing healthcare, institutional and aviation clients such as Jackson South Community Hospital, Miami Dade College, Florida International University, and Miami International Airport.
