Standard Cos. Taps Joe Ouellette as CSO in D.C.

National multifamily owner and developer Standard Cos. has announced that Joe Ouellette has returned to the company as Chief Strategy Officer, a new position in which he is responsible for spearheading Standard’s growth and accelerating performance. In his new role, he will be based in Washington D.C.

Ouellette served as Standard’s first regional partner from 2015 through 2019, a period in which the company’s portfolio grew by over 30%. Ouellette has nearly two decades of executive experience in the affordable and workforce housing industry, including capital markets, asset management, acquisitions, and ownership.

“I’m excited to be back at Standard in this new capacity, working with such a talented and thoughtful group of people. We have ambitious goals for the future, from our “50 x 30” initiative, to the growth of our Standard+ Foundation, to the Standard Academy, a best-in-class training and development platform,” said Ouellette. “These goals are a direct reflection of the caliber of our team and the culture we will continue to buildout at Standard: A culture of challenge and support, of collaboration and innovation, in an organization where people can thrive professionally and personally.”
