Standard Communities Hires Sislen as Managing Director in D.C.
Standard Communities, the affordable housing division of Standard Cos., has hired Matt Sislen as managing director of East Coast production. He will be based in the firm’s Washington D.C. office and will be responsible for the continued growth of Standard’s portfolio of multifamily assets on the East Coast, with a focus on the Mid-Atlantic region.

Sislen joins Standard from Audubon Enterprises, an affordable housing advisory firm which he co-founded in 2012 to expand and improve the supply of affordable housing opportunities in the Washington, D.C. metro area.
Standard currently owns more than 1,700 units of affordable housing in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. The firm also recently completed the largest tax-exempt bond and Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC)-financed preservation of affordable housing transaction in Washington, D.C. history.
