Standard Communities Dedicates Wall Mural in Lakeview East

Standard Communities recently dedicated an exterior mural at its Lakeview 3200 Apartments at 3218 N. Clark St. in the North Side’s Lakeview East neighborhood. Honored at that event, which was hosted by Robert Koerner, Standard’s CIO, were artists William Conger and Jeffrey Zimmerman.

The company acquired Lakeview 3200 Apartments, a 98-unit property, in 2018. Koerner, who is based in Standard’s Chicago office, worked closely with Conger and Zimmerman to bring to life a blank wall opposite Lakeview 3200 by commissioning a large mural titled Chicago Trails to be installed on that wall.

“Our motivation to commission the mural was twofold,’ said Koerner. “In addition to completely transforming the view of apartment units that previously faced a blank wall with a vibrant mural, we wanted to give something back to the community by supporting local artists.”
