STAG Charitable Fund, Employees Offer Support to Teachers and Students

Boston-based STAG Industrial Inc., has formed a collaboration between its charitable fund and DonorsChoose on a national campaign to support teachers and students in every state in which the company owns buildings.

DonorsChoose is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to providing resources to public school classrooms in need across the US. On its website, teachers submit proposals for materials or activities.

STAG employees selected to support more than 200 school projects representing 22,000 student-learning experiences in communities with lower-income households. The project cover subjects from math to language and arts to racial justice.

“The DonorsChoose partnership supports the fund’s mission to improve our communities and the lives of our fellow citizens,” said Ben Butcher, CEO of STAG.  “We are especially proud this collaboration helped expand our mission’s reach from a local to national level.”

STAG Industrial Charitable Action Fund was established to support the company’s social responsibility endeavors, including promoting equality and inspiring children and young adults, particularly those at risk.

About Lisa McDuffie

Lisa McDuffie arrives at ConnectCRE via REALTOR® world, where she served for nearly two decades as communications director for one of the nation’s largest REALTOR® organizations. She supported two membership-elected presidents who were commercial real estate practitioners, and managed the communications initiatives of the organization’s commercial special interest group. When not following the latest commercial real estate news, Lisa is zeroed in on her charismatic off-the-track thoroughbred as she makes the transition from an utterly failed racehorse to a lovely show hunter.
