St. Joe Company Forms JV to Sell Golf Carts at Owned Retail Centers

Panama City Beach, FL-based St. Joe Company and Electric Cart Company, LLC, have created a joint venture to bring golf cart and low speed vehicle sales to two of the commercial real estate developer’s lifestyle shopping centers near Florida’s Gulf Coast beaches.

“Driving a golf cart or LSV to run errands, visit friends or just to get out and enjoy some fresh air is a part of the lifestyle that so many people are seeking here in Northwest Florida,” said Jon Waldrop, owner of Electric Cart Company, LLC.

Plans call for an 11,000-square-foot sales and service dealership Watersound West Bay Center in Panama City Beach. The retail is being constructed adjacent to the Latitude Margaritaville Watersound active-adult community, which welcomed its first residents in late 2021. The community will ultimately have 3,500 homes with multimodal connectivity to Watersound West Bay Center in Santa Rosa Beach.

A sales showroom will also be built at Watersound Town Center in Santa Rosa Beach, FL.
