SRGNC and Caltrain Gain Approval for San Mateo Project
In a public/private partnership, Sares Regis Group of Northern California (SRGNC) and Caltrain have gained approval from the San Mateo Planning Commission for a new apartment community adjacent to the Hayward Park Caltrain Station in San Mateo, CA. The project called Hayward Park Transit Oriented Development will be built on 2.7 acres and is scheduled to be completed in 2025.
Located at 401 Concar Drive, the community will consist of 191 studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments in a five-story building with 28 of the units set aside for income restricted residents. Community amenities include a rooftop lounge, fitness center and dog run. Additionally, the development will include over $300,000 of public art, visible to commuters on Caltrain.
“We are very excited to build this new transit-oriented apartment community to meet the robust Peninsula housing demand and contribute to the modernization of the El Camino corridor,” said SRGNC Senior VP Ken Busch.
