Sprouts to open 2 Phoenix area stores

Sprouts to Open Two Phoenix-Area Stores

Sprouts Farmers Market will be adding to its 46 stores in Arizona. The company has recently announced that it will open stores in Gilbert and Avondale. The Gilbert store will be one where the company takes over currently available space, while the Avondale store was built from scratch.

The company will open a store in Gilbert at 1668 North Higley Road the first week of October, and then on Oct. 25, it will open a store in Avondale on the northeast corner of 99th Avenue and McDowell Road.

Sprouts has nearly 420 stores in 23 states and employs about 32,000 people across its network of stores, distribution centers and offices. The Phoenix Business Journal reports that in the latest ranking of grocery store chains by market share, Sprouts was ranked No. 8 and saw its share of the Phoenix market increase from 2.97% to 3.4%.
