Sprouts to Anchor Kyle Retail Center

Organic grocer Sprouts Farmers Market, is a hot commodity. What used to be a quaint novelty, organic now sells. The Houston Business Journal reports the city of Kyle is expected to lay out $650,000 in incentives so that GBT Realty Corp. could attract the grocer as an anchor to a proposed retail development. Kyle council members this week unanimously approved a motion to have the city manager work on a development agreement for the project.

The grocery store is expected to be 23,000 square feet, while three additional retail spaces could total about 18,000 square feet, for a combined square footage of roughly 40,000. Still no word on the makeup of the prospective tenants.

The grocery store chain already has six stores between Travis and Williamson counties, to the north.
