Premier Parks LLC is gearing up to begin a massive expansion for the Wet ‘N Wild SplashTown, a water park in Spring, TX, north of Houston. In the coming months, the multimillion-dollar renovation will nearly double the size of the park at 21300 Interstate 45 N. The park currently sits on approximately 50 acres, and Premier Parks owns an additional 35 acres behind the waterpark.

Specific designs have not yet been released, though Premier Parks’ Kieran Burke told the Houston Business Journal that the expansion could run north of $20 million.  The current owner took over SplashTown in 2014, and invested $20 million in upgrades that included a new parking lot and front gate, new gift shops and rides, and a reimaging of the landscaping.
