Foreign investors into commercial real estate favored the Sunbelt over traditional coastal markets in 2021

Spectrum Cos. Break Ground on 325-Unit Apartment Project in Charlotte

The Spectrum Cos., in partnership with Baston-Cook Development Co. has broken ground on a 325-unit apartment community in Charlotte’s University area.

The community will include four midrise buildings and incorporate design elements including up to 10-foot ceilings, plentiful natural light, stainless-steel appliances, tile backsplashes and multiple finish options. Amenities are slated to include a resort-style saltwater pool, god park and several acres of greenspace. The project also will include a standalone clubhouse with fitness and amenity centers.

The first apartments at the community are slated to be delivered in the second quarter of 2022, with project completion slated for the third quarter. Pinnacle Bank served as lender for the project.
