Spartanburg Could Sell Land for $1
The Spartanburg, South Carolina city council recently passed proposals to sell land to developers interested in building apartments, offices and retail.
The land consists of two parcels, one located at the Corner of Daniel Morgan Avenue and West Main Street (now a parking lot). The second is behind the George Dean Johnson College of Business and Economics, and the Spartanburg Marriott, near St. John and Church Streets.
According to reports, the city owns both parcels, and would sell for $1 each. The city council still needs to approve the plan to sell.
