More Space is a Piece of Cake in Baking Retailer’s Relocation

Baking supplies retailer New York Cake will have more room for fondant tools and icing spatulas when it expands its operations by relocating to a larger space at Adlie Associates’ 118 W. 22nd St. in Chelsea. The 10,500-square-foot, 10-and-a-half-year lease was negotiated by GFP Real Estate’s Roy Lapidus on behalf of ownership, and NKF’s John Brierty on behalf of NY Cake. GFP also manages 118 W. 22nd.

The family-owned and operated cake decorating and baking supply store was located at nearby 56 W. 22nd for more than 20 years. The move to 118 W. 22nd will double its space.

“We are thrilled that such a respected Manhattan institution as NY Cake has chosen to continue growing its operations at our property,” Lapidus said.
