Space Exploration Company Signs 21K-SF Near BWI Airport

Intuitive Machines, a space exploration company, has signed a 21,117-square-foot lease at Cromwell Business Park in Glen Burnie, Anne Arundel County, MD., with St. John Properties, Inc.

The Houston-based firm, which initially leased 1,360 square feet in 2021 and now occupies 3,600 square feet at BWI Commerce Park, will move into 881 Cromwell Park Drive this fall. The new facility, primarily used for building and testing space-flight equipment, will house 20 employees, expected to grow to 40 by next year.

“Our new facility will be approximately 70 percent warehouse and 30 percent office space and, because it is new, we are able to execute a build-out that is tailored to fit our exact needs. The Baltimore-Washington corridor is fertile ground for finding talent to fill our positions and nearly 90 percent of our local employees are University of Maryland graduates,” said Jon Kraeuter, a senior mechanisms engineer at the company’s Maryland office.
