Southern Land Co. Starting on $71M Dallas High-Rise

Developer Southern Land Co. has launched construction on a 20-story residential tower near Knox Street, north of downtown Dallas. The 310-unit building, at 3031 Oliver St., on North Central Expressway, is going north for a reported cost of $71 million.

GDA Architects is the designer of the project, which is replacing two small office buildings that were previously on the site. The development has been on the boards for almost two years, and developer representatives say the building will open in early 2020.

The Nashville-based builder is no stranger to the Dallas-Fort Worth area; it is currently developing a rental community in East Dallas’ Lakewood area. Southern Land has also built apartment and single-family houses in Collin County.
