South City Partners Readies for $90M 120 Piedmont
South City Partners is readying to break ground on 120 Piedmont, a 26-story student housing development that will serve Georgia State University in Atlanta. The $90-million project will offer 685 beds, along with 8,200 square feet of retail space. Also included in the amenities package will be a rooftop deck and outdoor living room, grilling area, study space, a resort-style pool, clubhouse, on-site library, fitness center and internet café.
SunTrust Banks closed on a $58.3 million construction loan for the 26-story project, which has a completion date of August 2019. Though specific rents weren’t specified, South City Partners’ Will Casaday indicated that the units will offer “affordable student housing options.” The Preston Partnership is the architect of record.
