Sonnenblick-Eichner Arranges $18M Refinancing for Boutique D.C. Hotel
Beverly Hills-based real estate investment banking firm Sonnenblick-Eichner has arranged a $17.7 million loan to refinance The Normandy Hotel, a six-story, 75-room boutique hotel located in Washington D.C.’s Kalorama district.
The non-recourse LIBOR-based loan has a term of five years and paid off an existing acquisition and renovation loan that was also arranged by Sonnenblick-Eichner. In September of 2018, the borrower completed an $800,000 refresh of the Hotel.
“The floating rate loan provides the borrower additional time for the hotel to ramp-up post renovation to stabilization,” said Elliot Eichner, principal at Sonnenbblick-Eichner.
