Soho’s Broome Hotel Goes Up for Sale

Compass vice chair Adelaide Polsinelli has been hired to market The Broome Hotel at 431 Broome St. in Soho. Built in 1825, the landmarked property opened as a hotel in 2014.

“The owners had considered selling the property two years before the pandemic began,” said Polsinelli. “They were so emotionally attached to the property that they could not part with it.”

Eventually, though, “all of the partners moved out of New York City to pursue other projects,” she continued. “They decided to sell but wanted make sure the property fell in the right hands to continue the legacy.”

Polsinelli said the boutique property offers “tremendous possibilities” for new owners. “The Broome Hotel can easily be transformed into a wellness retreat, bespoke headquarters or corporate housing,” she said. “The ultimate purchaser will have a rare opportunity to continue the legacy of exceptional creative concepts SoHo is celebrated for.”
