Cupertino, CA-based The Sobrato Organization submitted plans to redevelop an underutilized, struggling shopping mall in Redwood City, CA into a mixed-use, transit-oriented project. The contemporary development will feature three residential complexes, three office buildings and two retail buildings.
The plan includes 400 multifamily residences, three, 5-story office buildings, totaling 420,000 square feet, and 19,000 square feet of new retail space. CVS will take one of the retail buildings, with 3,800 square feet remaining in another single level building. There will be 1,945 parking spaces.
The project will have nearly 130,000 square feet of open space, including roughly 39% available for public use. The design team includes Architects Studio T Square, Form 4 Inc., and TGP Inc.
