Snow Joe Plows into Lacey Distribution Facility

NorthPoint Development pre-leased a 575,918-square-foot industrial facility at Hawks Prairie Logistics Center in Lacey. Snow Joe, and its sister division Sun Joe, claimed the entire distribution center building at 7816 Hawks Prairie Rd. as part of a West Coast expansion strategy.

The deal with the North Jersey-based lawn and garden tools manufacturer is one of the largest Puget Sound industrial transactions in 2020.

Snow Joe’s Paul Riley Jr. says, “This facility is our first on the West Coast, and it will enable us to meet our growing customer demand with enhanced speed and precision.”

The facility features more than 50,000 pallet positions, robotic picking, and pallet-put-away automation, among other advanced warehouse management technologies. The I-5 logistics corridor building features 36-foot clear heights, 136 dock doors, four drive-in doors, 274 car parking spots and 170 stalls for trailer parking.

WREA’s Wilma Warshak represented the tenant. Newmark’s Thad Mallory, Taylor Hoff, Cam Warren represented the landlord.
