SNH Completes Sale of Central Mass. MOB Portfolio

Senior Housing Properties Trust (SNH) completed the sale of the Reliant Medical Group portfolio of medical office buildings across central Massachusetts for a total of $18 million.  The Newton, MA-based REIT also completed the sale of a 15-facility Midwestern skilled nursing portfolio for a combined sales price of $8 million.

Totaling approximately 362,000 square feet, the Reliant portfolio includes five MOBs in Worcester, two in Westborough and one each in Millbury, Milford, Fitchburg, Spencer, Leominster and Auburn. Founded in 1929 as Fallon Clinic, Reliant occupied these properties before moving to other locations upon the expiration of the leases.

In separate transactions, SNH sold 10 skilled nursing facilities in Nebraska, four in Iowa and one in Kansas. The REIT didn’t disclose the buyers of the SNF or MOB properties.
