Snapchat Shrinking Venice Office Footprint
Snap Inc., the parent company of social messaging app Snapchat, is downsizing its Venice, CA office portfolio by putting roughly half of its space on the market for lease. The company plans to sublease 14 properties totaling roughly 163,000 square feet.
Those offices will be shifted to Santa Monica Business Park, where Snap signed a lease for 300,000 square feet of space last year, though the company’s headquarters are expected to remain at 63 Market Street in Venice. The listings are being handled by Industry Partners and JLL.
The largest of the spaces to hit the market include two neighboring properties at 619 and 701 Ocean Front Walk (pictured) totaling 44,887 square feet. There’s an additional 29,596 square feet nearby at 909 and 913 Ocean Front Walk, as well as more than 28,000 square feet of combined space at three locations on Abbot Kinney Boulevard and several smaller spaces on Brooks Avenue, Main and Market streets.
