Smart Parking Drives to Amarillo

The city of Amarillo is partnering with ParkMobile to introduce meter-free, app-driven parking. Specifically, drivers parking in 900 designated lots in the CBD will use the ParkMobile app on smart phones to pay. The app is available for iPhone and Android devices.

The user enters the zone number posted on the ParkMobile sign, selects how long he/she intends to park, and then touches the “start parking” button. ParkMobile sends alerts when a parking session is about to expire, and the user can extend the time from the app.

ParkMobile is operational in other Texas metros, including Austin, College Station, Dallas, Fort Worth and Houston.
