Southern Land Company broke ground on its first project in White Plains, NY, Juliette Apartments

SLC Breaks Ground on Downtown White Plains Apartments

Southern Land Company (SLC) has broken ground on Juliette, a 177-unit luxury apartment home community located at 250 Mamaroneck Ave. In White Plains, NY. The development is SLC’s first in White Plains and third in New York State.

In addition to building Juliette, SLC’s $100-million investment in the community includes financial assistance to the YMCA of Central and Northern Westchester, which helped secure the YMCA’s future. The YMCA was previously located at 250 Mamaroneck in a facility that required costly maintenance to remain operational. In a multiyear partnership with SLC, the YMCA has relocated to 148 Hamilton Ave. in White Plains where it continues to serve the community.

“We are excited to embark on the construction phase of this project, as it means we are one step closer to reinvigorating part of the heart of the city,” said SLC founder and CEO Tim Downey.
