SL Green’s Third Ave. Tower Near 97% Leased After New Deals

A trio of new transactions brings lease-up at SL Green Realty Corp.’s 711 Third Ave. to nearly 97%. Totaling 43,500 square feet, the leases include a 15-year, 19,025-square-foot deal for the Birthright Israel Foundation, a relocation by law firm Barton LLP from SL Green’s 420 Lexington Ave. to another 19,025-square-foot berth, and 5,443 square feet for Security Council Report.

“Midtown East continues to be the leading home for companies of all types to grow their businesses,” said Steve Durels, EVP and director of leasing and real property at SL Green. “The neighborhood’s central location and unrivaled access to public transportation is a tremendous amenity for all tenant employees.”

The Birthright Israel Foundation was represented by Brian Waterman and Lance Korman of NKF. Transwestern’s Lauren Davidson and Stephen Powers advised Security Council Report.

Other major tenants at 711 Third include Ricoh Americas Corp., McKinsey & Company Inc., and Golenbock Eiseman.
