SL Green’s Supertall One Vanderbilt Tops Out

Navillus Contracting wrapped up work on SL Green Realty Corporation’s One Vanderbilt by topping out the concrete superstructure for the 58-story, 1.7-million-square-foot office tower near Grand Central Terminal. Scheduled for completion in 2020, the 1,401-foot-tall tower will be the city’s second-tallest commercial building, surpassed only by the 1,776-foot-tall One World Trade Center.

“The topping out at One Vanderbilt is a major milestone that brings one of New York City’s most eagerly anticipated skyscrapers closer to completion,” said Donal O’Sullivan, owner and president of Navillus Contracting. “Our involvement in this extraordinary property is a testament to our firm’s capabilities, and we’re proud to add One Vanderbilt to our portfolio of iconic commercial concrete projects.”

At SL Green, VP Harry Olsen extended thanks “to Donal and the entire Navillus team for a fantastic job well done.” He added, “I look forward to working together on SL Green’s next mega-project.”
