SL Green Signs Coty to Times Square Retail Flagship

SL Green Realty Corp. has signed Coty Inc. to a 10,040-square-foot lease at 30 Times Square, the retail flagship development that the REIT completed, in 2017. The lease runs for 10 years, and the beauty products conglomerate is expected to take possession of its space in July.

In addition to the retail space, the lease includes 5,800 square feet of LED displays that will enable Coty to publish brand content across the heavily trafficked pedestrian corridor surrounding 30 Times Square. “As the retail world evolves, Times Square has transformed, delivering state-of-the-art customer experiences, high sales volumes, social media engagement and global marketability, all of which are highly desirable in the current retail landscape,” said SL Green’s Brett Herschenfeld.

An RKF team of Ariel Schuster, Ross Berkowitz and Jason Wecker represented SL Green. JLL’s Michael Hirschfeld represented Coty in leasing negotiations.
