SL Green Gathers a Development Site

One of New York’s biggest developers seems to be planning a giant tower for a package of sites near the World Trade Center.

SL Green already owns 183 Broadway, 187 Broadway and 5-7 Day Street. And the MTA has issued a request for proposals for the air rights to 189 Broadway. If SL Green had them, it could build 200,000 square feet.

SL Green has also approached the owner of two small office buildings at 179 and 181 Broadway, according to the New York Post. No comment was forthcoming from either SL Green or the MTA. “Stay tuned,” says the Post.
