Skyplex Orlando Parcel For Sale/Lease
The highly-touted Skyplex roller coaster was first announced in 2014. It was moving swiftly until COVID-19 when the project went off the rails. Besides the issues with the pandemic, the site, originally planned for the 500-foot-tall Skyplex roller coaster, had received pushback from other Orlando attractions, claiming it would detract from their venues. Now, it is for sale.
The company is not listing it with a price. Instead, is accepting bids on the land with proposals for what potential developers might do with it.
The Orlando Business Journal reports that the owner says the site’s size, 13 acres, allows for significant density and vertical development, potentially including a large resort, condominiums, or a combination of both. The property spans six parcels, which Skyplex Ownership spent more than $54 million on.
CBRE’s Joe Ramsberger, Lee Ann Korst and Michael McShea are marketing the property.
