SkyBox Building Phase I of 1M-SF Lancaster Data Center

Skybox Datacenters LLC has begun construction on a 1-million-square-foot data center campus in Lancaster.

The Dallas-based company broke ground on the PowerCampus earlier this month. Upon its completion, the sprawling site will create jobs for approximately 120 people.

The first phase of the project will involve erecting a 270,900-square-foot facility at a cost of around $85 million. It is anticipated to be completed sometime in 2026. Ultimately, the campus will include three buildings and be powered by a private on-site substation, which can produce up to 300 megawatts.

PowerCampus Dallas is the joint venture of Skybox, Bandera Ventures, and Principal Asset Management.

The Dallas-Fort Worth area continues to be one of the nation’s leading data center hubs, with a large network available to other metro areas and proximity to other cloud providers.
