Skanska Signs on for $42M UVA Hospital Contract
Skanska USA signed a contract with the University of Virginia to expand and renovate the university’s current hospital system, located in Charlottesville, VA. The $42 million contract consists of early site work, utility relocations and building foundation installation. The renovation activities are part of the UVA multi-phased hospital expansion project, which is scheduled for a 2020 completion.
Construction services for the system-wide renovation began last year, and the current project’s phase should be complete by September 2017. One of the renovation’s main focuses is an upgrade of the Emergency Department.
