Skanska Secures Office Leases at Downtown DC Tower
Skanska announced three new leases at 17xM, a trophy office building in Washington, D.C.’s central business district.
The University of Michigan and Corgan have committed to space at the landmark building, joining Gibson Dunn & Crutcher, UBS Financial Services, and other professional services firms, bringing the office space to over 90% leased.
University of Michigan will lease approximately 11,500 square feet, including both office and retail space, marking the university’s first entry into the D.C. market. CBRE represented both Skanska and the University of Michigan. Architecture and design firm Corgan will occupy 9,700 square feet. CBRE represented Skanska in the transaction, while Savills represented Corgan.
Located at 1700 M Street, 17xM is an 11-story next-generation trophy office tower designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates. CBRE’s Randy Harrell, Joe Coleman, and Lara Nealon are overseeing leasing at the property.
