Skanska Secures Lease with Ayat Palestinian Bistro at 2112 Penn in DC

Skanska announced Ayat, a Palestinian bistro from the Anani Hospitality Group, will open its first D.C. location at 2112 Penn in downtown D.C.

The new D.C. location will occupy 3,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space and will serve lunch and dinner daily. The expansion joins additional openings planned for the Upper West Side, Philadelphia, and Dallas. “Ayat will bring a warm, welcoming dining experience to our tenants and neighbors,” said Mark Carroll, Executive Vice President and Regional Manager of Skanska USA Commercial Development’s D.C. market. “Their flavorful, community-minded approach strengthens our retail mix and reflects the kind of high-quality retail we’re committed to delivering across our portfolio.”

Delivered in 2018, 2112 Penn offers 230,000 square feet of office space and nearly 10,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space. The building is conveniently located near the Foggy Bottom Metro, parks, walkable dining, and cultural amenities. Currently, retail tenants include North Italia.
