Skanska Restructures Sustainability Team

Skanska has restructured its US Building Sustainability Team, appointing Steve Clem and Myrrh Caplan as co-leads to drive environmental initiatives. As senior vice presidents, Clem and Caplan will leverage Skanska’s global and domestic resources to advance sustainability goals, supporting clients and communities.

Caplan, a 2022 LEED Fellow, brings extensive experience in sustainable building, having overseen nearly 300 certified projects and co-created initiatives like the AGC Task Force on Decarbonization. Clem, with a background in construction engineering, has spearheaded Skanska’s decarbonization efforts and championed mass timber projects.

Skanska’s commitment to sustainability includes a target for carbon neutrality by 2045, with a 70% reduction by 2030. The company has delivered over 44 million square feet of certified space and supports UN Sustainable Development Goals.
