Skanska Promotes Mark Balling to EVP

Skanska has promoted Mark Balling to executive vice president and General Manager, responsible for building operations in North Carolina and Virginia. Balling’s ascent follows Greg Peele’s promotion to Regional Executive Officer for the Southeast and Central regions.

Balling, with Skanska since 2015, initially as vice president, has demonstrated adeptness in translating client visions into reality. Notably, he contributed to projects with Duke University and North Carolina State University. His extensive industry experience, including over two decades with Lendlease, bolsters his leadership.

“For the past eight years, Mark has been an instrumental force in growing and developing our teams and business in North Carolina and Virginia,” said Peele. “Whether working on a large university campus building or a community-impacting hospital project, Mark has shown a remarkable ability to translate a client’s vision into reality.”
